I have been working in Gram Panchayat for a long time and after taking this training now, I see everything with a Constitutional lens. Whether it is family, self or my work. I try to include the values that I have learnt. In my family, I make sure that I am thinking objectively when it comes to my children. I try to take everyone’s opinions in my family. I am trying to involve the learnings in my life because this learning is very important.
In one of my areas of work, when I was taking a session, the woman head sarpanch was also there and she did not consider herself equal to the authorities and would not take her assigned seat. But I was aware of the values of equality, and justice through the training I attended and thus I told her that "You hold a Constitutional position and under the Gujarat Panchayat Act, you are no less than any government authority. You should realise your position". After attending such sessions, she finally attends the Panchayat meetings, she is involved in the development work of the village and I feel that she feels entitled after knowing about her rights.
